This page was created to support my fundraising efforts for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America's TEAM IN TRAINING Program.

If you know me, you know how I am about helping kids. I’m usually the team mom, coach or leader of whatever my kids choose to participate in. When the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society offered me an opportunity to help kids by doing something that I already love - running - it was a challenge that I just couldn’t pass up.

Soooo, I am going to run, walk or stagger 26.2 miles to raise money for research and patient support for leukemia, lymphoma and blood related cancers. I have committed to run the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon on June 1st. My personal challenge is to train my self and raise $3700 in sponsorship funds for the Society before March 16th. I NEED YOUR HELP!

Nearly 107,000 Americans found out last year just how much of a challenge their lives would become when they were diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma.

The purpose of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program is to accelerate research funding to find a cure for these diseases.
- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America is rated one of the ten best run charities by Money Magazine.
- Leukemia research is considered the window to the treatment and cure for all cancers.
- So far, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's work is helping - Leukemia patients' five-year survival rate has tripled since 1960
- Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that he or she has leukemia, lymphoma, hodgkin's disease or myeloma-more that 300 people a day.
- Every nine minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
